No Government help this year for neutering feral cats.

The Government have said that they are not able to give the annual grant to charitable organisations to help with the cat neutering scheme.
Although it was only a small amount clearly it did help us to neuter feral cats. Because of this Parc will have to find 55 euros minimum for every female cat and 35 euros minimum for every male cat. In addition to this we try to vaccinate and treat the animals for parasites as well as attending to any other medical condition ie teeth or abscesses which adds to the cost to us.
Because of this Parc will concentrate on spaying female cats this year and if anyone wants cats neutered either male or female we will need a donation. Please be aware that where we neuter the 'green bin cats' etc there is no one at all to help so we have to meet the full cost from money raised by our events. We also have to continue to raise over a 1000 euros per month for our food bill as well as meeting the cost of emergency medical care for animals injured or sick.
Many people are thinking that the animal charity shop in Peyia is ours. It is not. We are not in a position to pay a rent on a shop or pay staff to man them. We are very grateful to Fiona and Joan who do car boot sales for us. They are volunteers like the rest of us and the only money paid out is for a market stall on the day. We are desperate for goods to sell so please think of us if you are having a clear out. You can telephone 99961157 and someone will arrange to collect goods. This is obviously very important now. Without your donations we cannot hope to feed and treat the animals in our care.
