Alsation Homed!

We are pleased to say that we have helped to give a new lease of life to this lovely old dog. She is over 8 years old. Was found in a terrible state with fleas and ticks eating her alive. She also had problems with her eyes and skin. We arranged to have her bathed and treated for all her ailments. After four weeks care she was spayed. She has now been offered care by the kind people who fostered her. She is a totally different dog. She stands proud and looks wonderful. She may not have a long life left but she will certainly enjoy the rest of her life with this lovely couple. Parc is not a shelter but we will always provide the care necessary for a homeless sick or injured animal.

Help me please!

This dear little bitch needs a home. A foster home would be a great help but obviously a forever home is a priority. She has been with Dr. Maria while she raised her puppies but has had to leave them to help her get over being spayed. She is a lovely girl who is very clean in the house, very good with children and all animals including tiny kittens and cats. She is a very good dog that will make a super pet. Please let us know if you can make room for her.

Have you ever seen a prettier kitten?

This is one of the three babies that Clare has bottle fed. They were dumped at the supermarket when they were just one week old. All three of them would have died for sure. Now they are beautiful happy kittens. All of them are healthy, weaned and litter trained. They are the most friendly creatures you could ever wish to own. Clare and Jason have done a marvelous job caring for these little ones. Like all cats and kittens at Cozycatz Cattery they have had the best care possible. If you can offer a home to one or more of these gorgeous kittens then telephone Ruth on 99961157 thank you.

What a week!

This lovely tricolour cat has appeared at Coral Beach Hotel and has been feeding with the hotel cats (that Parc feed every day) for the past 2 weeks. She had a new collar on when she arrived and looks very fit and healthy. Of course it is possible someone has dumped her but I think she may be a cat that has been moved to Coral Bay area and has simply got lost. If you recognise her please call me I am sure her owners would want her back.
It has been a crazy week. Firstly my wonderful Black Labrador left Cyprus for his new home in Germany. Although we appreciate he is a very lucky dog to find such a brilliant home we were very sad to see him go. Pat and Gary who cared for him for 3 months were devastated and I wasn't much better. Thankfully we heard from his new owners within a couple of days so we felt a little happier. He has settled in well, is enjoying the cooler climate and having 4 walks a day which will help his considerable weight. Thanks to Cydra for helping us to find him a home.
Pam and I visited the young mother with 5 babies and were smitten. We had to take her in, even though we were way overstretched. She spent 4 days in the pens before Dr. Maria kindly agreed to help us out. This means that Dr. Maria has 2 mother cats and 8 babies in her clinic. All of them need homes. We have two more babies in the pens, Ann (my deputy) very kindly took 3 more kittens, Clare and Jason (Cozycatz Cattery) have 3 tiny ones being bottle fed and another 2 twelve week old kits for us. I have 3 more joined one of my groups and we have placed another 2 in long term foster home. This means that Parc are now fully responsible for feeding and caring for 122 cats every day. All of our cats are fully vaccinated and neutered when they are old enough. Having said we could not take any more we had a five week old kitten admitted after a road traffic accident.
I now do so many trips to Dr. Maria's surgery both her husband and mine think I live there. I can only say again how lucky we are to have the services of such a wonderful Veterinary. She cares deeply for the poor creatures and does so much work for us at a fraction of the standard charge. As well as all our cats and kittens she is caring for a young bitch with seven puppies. If you know anyone who wants a kitten or a puppy please get in touch with me. Call Ruth on 99961157 Thank you.

Lots more kittens

We have had endless referrals about baby kittens that need help. This season has gone on from early March and we are still getting tiny babies brought to us that need to be bottle fed. These two came on Wednesday. They are very friendly. One came from a Villa in higher Peyia, he had been abandoned by his mother and was screaming the place down. He has now been Vet checked, treated for parasites and given good nourishing food and love. The other one was found at the side of her dead mother. She was Vet checked and then we put them together and they are the best of friends. We are finding it very difficult as there are endless phone calls and we cant help them all. We had another call today regarding a mother and five babies that have been cared for by people on holiday who are leaving Cyprus tomorrow. We cant accommodate them as we have no more room until we re home some more kittens. We will try and help them by providing food and arranging for the mother to be spayed. However, to spay the mother cat and vaccinate all the babies will cost us over 200 euros. Vaccination and parasite treatment is absolutely vital for all mothers and babies. Your donations help us. Without donations we cannot do the work. Thank you so much to all the people who do support us. Roy and Jennie (Bristol) sent us another huge donation. A million thanks to you two again. Also thanks to Linda Sargant and family for their donations for Princess. Thank you Doreen for helping Suki and also Caroline who is trying to arrange for Kitty the mother cat to join her and her husband in the UK.
We have many more supporters so if I haven't named you you are not forgotten please accept our appreciation and be aware that every penny donated goes to help animals in need. All our volunteers do the work voluntarily with no pay. Thank you.
