Please can anyone help?

We have so many mother cats and lots of babies and I have just had a call about another 4 babies that need care as their mother has died. They are just eating. At present we have mothers and babies in the pens, in the cattery, with foster mothers and at Dr. Maria's. I really have no room for these four but I cant just leave them to die. If you can help by fostering or adopting one or two babies please please telephone text or e mail me. Thanks Ruth

Dumped by a family!!!

This dear little girl was dumped at the refuge by people who just didnt want her. She is very traumatised as she has always lived in a home. Parc always work closely with other organisations if possible, we help each other. She is in Paws and as she is so distressed I felt it appropriate to try and help them find a home for her. If you can offer her some tender love and care please telephone or e mail. She has been vaccinated and spayed. Thank you

Well done everyone!

A big thank you to all the people that helped with the car boot sale. Thanks to all the people who donated goods, thanks to all those who helped to collect, store and sell the goods and thanks to Holly's Restaurant and Amazing Glaze for accommodating us. It was quieter than usual but despite this we raised an amazing 1342 euros to help the animals in need. Special thanks to Jo and Graham who once again made the journey from Limassol to support us and gave us so many wonderful things to sell. Also thanks again to Elizabeth and Carol and all their team of helpers, to Jan who is now living in Scotland but gave lots of goods to Elizabeth and to Bill and Dawn who always turn up trumps.
In fact a million thanks to you all. If your name is not mentioned it doesnt mean you are not valued. Everyone of you are appreciated. A great day but I am so pleased to have my bedroom back. Cheers Ruth

Tiny kittens dumped at the green bins

Some B....... dumped at least 3 x 2 day old kittens at a green bin. They couldnt have been in a box they were left loose because 2 of them were found dead in the road. This little beauty was found by Carol (a wonderful Parc supporter)The tiny thing was very near death as she was very cold. However, Carol called me and I collected the baby. Luckily for us we had a young mother feeding two x 3 week old kittens and amazingly she accepted this tiny one. It was wonderful to see her fighting to get milk from mother. She pushed her way in past the bigger kittens and fed hungrily. Within a short time she was warm and content.
Two days on she is thriving. What a wonderful mother. What I would like to do to the person who dumped these babies is unprintable.

The Veterinary Nurses went to gaol for parc.

Jo and Stacey who work at Ian McConnell Veterinary Practice in Mossley, Lancashire, UK came up with a brilliant idea to raise funds for Parc and Sirius Dog Shelter. They spent the night in Derby Gaol which is haunted. They raised an incredible 1700 pounds sterling which they shared between the two organisations. However, we also sought sponsors in Cyprus and our wonderful supporters were amazing. Incredibly we raised 2000 euros giving us almost 3000 euros in total.
The economic crises is a huge worry for all charitable organisations and we are delighted to have this money to help us through a difficult year.
Sincere thanks to Jo and Stacey, the management and staff at the Veterinary Practice, their customers and friends who made donations and the owners of Derby Gaol who allowed the girls to use their premises. Finally a huge thank you to all our supporters here in Cyprus and in the UK who responded to our appeal.
Every penny donated goes directly to helping the animals in need. All our helpers and volunteers give their time free. There are no paid members. Your donations will help a large number of cats, dogs, puppies and kittens. Thank you.
