Just too busy!
Firstly, we have a 7 week old kitten in the clinic at present. She was knocked down by a car. Thankfully a supporter of Parc saw it and acted quickly. She now has a shorter tail than normal, a bit of a limp and an ulcerated eye (which will heal in time). She was pretty angry when we first got her but she has turned into a real sweety and will be ready to go to a home in a week or two.
We have homed lots of cats and kittens over the past month but we still have lots of babies that need either homes or sponsors.
We have taken in 2 young puppies in the past week and homed them both before I could get a picture on the webpage for you. I have now just agreed to help another 4 week old puppy. Came to us last night absolutely covered in ticks (foster carer thought she had black ears until she removed the ticks). She will need a home soon.
It is important to remember that every kitten, cat, puppy or dog that comes to Parc is full vaccinated if they are old enough and well enough. This does cost a tremendous amount of money but is vitally important.
A big thank you to all the people who sponsor our animals we simply cannot manage without your help.
Sadly we sometimes have to say we can't take in unwanted kittens. This week we had 3 x two week old kittens dumped in a box at Phillipos Supermarket. They are much too young to be taken from their mother but we are trying to bottle feed them (well actually Clare from Cozy Catz Cattery is feeding them) Thank you Clare it is a time consuming task and we appreciate your help very much. Although we always try to help tiny babies we cannot take all six/seven week old kittens and therefore some referrers are disappointed and perhaps disiullusioned with Parc. I have to remind people that we are a small organisation doing our very best to help sick and injured homeless animals but the healthy free ferals have to survive. We do try, we work very hard but there are only a few of us and our resources are limited. If you want to offer to help Parc either by making a donation or fostering one of our animals then please contact us. Thank you.
