I was delivering a trap and baskets to a supporter to apprehend 2 cats for neutering. When I arrived a neighbour asked me to help a kitten that was trapped in a horrid spikey plant. We managed to free the poor thing and they advised that she had been around their house for 3 or 4 days and appeared very distressed. She was frightened but friendly enough so I put her in a basket and said I would take her to our pens and would try and find her owner but put her up for re homing if necessary. When I got to the pens Pam and I looked at her closer and was surprised to find she looked very much like one of the babies that we had taken in with her mother Millie. They were collected from behind a bar in Coral Bay, Millie being feral and her four babies were only a day old. We had cared for them all for months finding a home for little Molly and her brother about two months ago. We telephoned her owners who admitted they had lost Molly a week ago and assumed she had been killed on the road. They came to see and was very surprised to find their baby. Needless to say we were all thrilled. What a co incidence! All the millions of cats and kittens in Paphos and I just happened to find her being in the right place at the right time.
The moral of this story is: Our beloved cats/kittens go missing and we fear the worst thankfully this is not always the case. How and why did little Molly end up 3 miles away from her home? We don't know the answer to that we are just very grateful that she is back home with her family. Dont give up your lost kitten/cat may be lucky like Molly.
