Young male puppy/dog

Young male puppy/dog needs a home now. He has been tied up to a tree with no shelter. His owner has agreed to release him to Parc for re homing. He is very friendly and gets on well with other dogs. All he wants is for someone to cuddle him. He is being fostered by Gill and Pete at Shampooch . If you want to see him contact them at their pet shop or telephone 99051367 for more information.

GOOD NEWS! THIS LOVELY LITTLE DOG HAS NOW GOT A FOREVER HOME. BETTER THAN BEING TIED UP TO A TREE AND BEING INFESTED WITH TICKS AND FLEAS. WE WISH HIS WELL. THANKS TO GILL AND PETE AT SHAMPOOCH WHO HAVE CARED FOR HIM ON BEHALF OF PARC.

Remember Silky!

Silky is the beautiful cat that has a British pet passport and was going to go to UK but then stayed her and was homed with a lovely lady, Leonora, who lives on her own and spoils him rotten.
Well 2 months ago he went missing for a week and his owner was frantic. He eventually found his way back but was covered in engine oil. Despite every effort it was necessary to take off his lovely silky coat and leave him looking like a neglected moggy. His owner has kindly sent us pictures of him before and after. Although he still hasnt got his silky gloss back the pictures show he is well on the way. Here is his story written with a little help from Leonora.

Remember me? The beautiful long haired one who found a new home and changed his name to "Puss-in-Boots"'?Well, here I am again - and what a mess I am!
I had gone "absent without leave" for 7 days and nights causing great grief , worry and sleepless nights , when I decided that ,perhaps, home was best after all. Somehow I had managed to cover all of me in thick black engine oil which made me hardly recognisable, and, as I immediately jumped on to my favourite place on the bed, also made me not too popular! Then found myself picked up and put into a sink full of warm soapy water - not a pleasant experience, immediately followed by finding myself inside the cat transporter box I dislike very much and in the car. Arrived at the "Place of the smells" and don't remember anything until the next morning when, once again at home via nasty cat transporter, I found that all my glorious fur had been shorn off and I had to embark on a series of major cleaning operations on what was left - heard "them" saying that all my nice white and orange bits had turned a fashionable grey - and that I now had the appearance of a mixture of Ocelot and very short haired whet cat which sounded most offensive. Seems that the previous coat had hidden the fact that I was covered in spots! Was rather pleased to be at home and made sure I was looked after by deciding to live ON her rather then just WITH her for a few days just as the weather turned really warm. Took me sometime to regain a reasonable looking fur which is now growing nicely - I can even tolerate having a photograph taken which I am sending you on a separate e mail. Kind regards from a once again happily settled but home punctually at 9.45pm every night Puss-inBoots
so wrote his story which I am pleased to pass on to you.

Another puppy going to Germany!

No sooner had I updated to say thank you for finding homes for two of our puppies than I heard that my lovely Iris has been chosen too. This is lovely because she will be able to travel there with her brother. Thank you so much I am sure they will have lovely homes with lovely people.

Just had a response about our Summer Bash. Two people are travelling all the way from Limassol to join us. Great news it's nice to know we have the support of people from other areas.

Just heard a young black (labrador type) male dog needs a home. He is about a year old and was going to be shot before he was rescued. If you can help give me a call. Thanks Ruth

Two puppies

I am delighted to confirm that two of our puppies have been offered homes in Germany. This is thanks to Barbara and Eve who work very hard organising exports to Germany. The great thing is that a dog being exported to Germany (or anywhere else in Europe except the UK) can travel within a month of having a Rabies vaccine and does not need to wait six months as they do if they are going to Britain. While I understand the fears of many in Britain I do feel strongly that the restrictions are unnecessary when animals are travelling from Cyprus (a Rabies free Country like Britain). Many more people would be willing to take their animals back to UK if they didnt have to wait six months. The other problem is many have them vaccinated and blood tested intending to take them back but once they have gone from here the attachment reduces and by the time the six months are up many decide they cant be bothered to fly them back. I have just heard of a 5 year old Shepherd x that has been cared for in a foster home here for five months waiting to fly to his owner, the owner has decided she doesnt want him and has told the foster carer to put him to sleep. This is not fiction it is fact. As Littlejohn would say "You couldn't make itup"
Anyway a million thanks to Barbara, Eve and all the people in Germany for choosing two of our lovely puppies. We still have other dogs, cats, puppies and kittens so give me a call if you can help. Thanks Ruth The puppy pictured is still available she is absolutely delightful and brilliant with adults, children, dogs and cats.

CAN YOU HELP THIS BITCH

THIS PURE HUSKY DOG WAS found wandering about the road near the airport on Sunday the 6th July. She was covered in ticks and fleas and in generally poor condition. I've given her two tick/flea baths, wormed her and been feeding her up since I found her. Unfortunately I cannot keep her as I am in rented accommodation and I travel a fair amount. She has the most fantastic temperament. She is very loving and will let you do anything to her including bathing and showering her, inspecting between her toes for ticks etc. Most amazing of all is she likes cats. I can be reached on 97755962.

CATS AND KITTENS.

WE STILL HAVE MANY CATS AND KITTENS THAT NEED A HOME. SADLY WE ARE UNABLE TO TAKE ANY MORE UNTIL WE HAVE FOUND HOMES FOR THE ONES WE HAVE GOT. WE WILL ALWAYS PAY FOR TREATMENT FOR HOMELESS ANIMALS SO IF YOU HAVE FERAL KITTENS AND YOU LIVE IN PEYIA/CORAL BAY OR SURROUNDING VILLAGES WE WILL HAPPILY TRY AND HELP YOU WITH THE COST OF TREATMENT. WE HAVE TREATED MANY CATS AND KITTENS. LAST WEEK WE WERE CALLED TO HELP A DEAR FERAL CAT THAT WAS STAGGERING AROUND CORAL BAY AT 10PM. SHE WAS IN SERIOUS DANGER FROM THE CARS. A KIND LADY BROUGHT HER TO US. IT WAS VERY CLEAR SHE HAD SOME BRAIN DAMAGE AND WE ASSUMED SHE HAD BEEN HIT BY A CAR. HOWEVER OUR VETERINARY DIAGNOSED A SERIOUS VIRUS WHICH AFFECTS THE BRAIN. SHE WAS HOSPITALISED FOR ONE WEEK AND GIVEN ANTI BIOTICS AND STEROIDS AND OF COURSE SPAYED. I WAS ABLE TO RELEASE HER NEAR THE CORAL BEACH HOTEL JUST ONE WEEK AFTER TAKING HER IN. SHE HAS BEEN TREATED FOR PARASITES AND HAS PUT ON WEIGHT. SHE IS A HAPPY FREE CAT AGAIN.
ANOTHER YOUNG CAT WAS REFERRED TO US. SHE HAD A BADLY INJURED LEG WHICH WAS THE RESULT OF A SNAKE BITE. THE WOUND BECOMES INFECTED AND ALL THE SKIN DIES. SHE MUST HAVE BEEN IN ACUTE PAIN. DR. MARIA OUR VETERINARY HOSPITALISED HER FOR ONE MONTH WHILE SHE TREATED HER WITH ANTI BIOTICS. SHE TOO WAS SPAYED AND TREATED FOR PARASITES. IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TREATING HER AS SHE REMAINED AGGRESSIVE BUT DR. MARIA MANAGED BRILLIANTLY AS ALWAYS AND THIS DEAR CAT WAS RETURNED TO HER AREA.
MANY PEOPLE WILL ASK WHY WE DONT JUST PUT THESE ANIMALS DOWN INSTEAD OF PAYING FOR TREATMENT. WE ARE NOT IN THE BUSINESS OF KILLING ANIMALS. IF WE CAN HELP THEM BY PROVIDING TREATMENT AND MAKING THEM BETTER THEN WE WILL DO THIS. WE CARE FOR MANY FERAL GROUPS. WE FEED OVER 100 CATS EACH DAY IN PEYIA AND CORAL BAY. IF ANY ARE SICK OR INJURED WE TRAP AND TREAT THEM. THEY ARE ALL GODS CREATURES. WE ARE DETERMINED TO HELP SICK AND INJURED ANIMALS AND TO ENSURE THAT THEY DO NOT SUFFER PAIN. PLEASE HELP US TO HELP THEM. THANKS RUTH
