French Bull Dog

A young french bull dog has been found in Chloraka area. She is microchipped but there is no resonse from the registered contact numbers so we can only assume she is another abandoned dog. She is in poor condition but is friendly and appreciates being cared for. If you have any interest in this pedigree dog please contact Ruth on 99961157 thank you.

No one came to claim this lovely dog and she has now found a forever home with Chris and Christine. It is great to think this little dog now has a secure future. Many thanks to Suzy and family for fostering her and to Chris for adopting her.

Two more kittens just arrived.

Two little sisters brought to us today. They had been dumped in a garden. They were very hungry but have settled in to our pens well and are eating lots. They have been treated for parasites and will be vet checked this week. They will be ready for re homing by the weekend. They are very friendly and will make lovely pets. Telephone Ruth on 99961157 or e mail to ruthmew1@cytanet.com.cy
Don't forget there is no charges made for any of our animals but a donation is always appreciated as we do have to meet the cost of food, parasite treatment and veterinary bills. We are now feeding more than 100 homeless animals. Thank you.

TWO DOG AND A PUPPY IN FOSTER HOMES

All these three are being fostered for Parc. We are very grateful indeed to Karen, Dr. Maria and Elizabeth for taking care of these dear dogs who have suffered so much. All of them need a long term home. They may not be the prettiest dogs but I can assure you they all have super temperaments and will be very loyal dogs. If you can offer them a long term home please contact us urgently. Thanks Ruth

KITTENS ARE AVAILABLE NOW!

We have kittens that need good homes now. Yesterday we took in a young mother with four babies. She was very friendly and she was trying to care for her babies out in the open at the side of a busy main road. We went to assess and the rest is history.

On Sunday we rescued a two week old kitten that had fallen down a cavity wall at the Village Inn. Ann was bottle feeding it but it was very distressed clearly needing a mother. We introduced this baby to the new Mum and she has taken to her so she is now feeding five babies. If you add these to the two that we took in the week before it is obvious why we need help in finding homes.

Please give us a call if you know anyone who wants kittens. Thank you.

Another beagle dog that needed urgent help.

I was out hunting with my master when I got shot in the leg and also in the face. It was very painful and all I remember is running away. I don't know if he was shooting me on purpose. It is possible because I have lost a lot of condition recently and had difficulty keeping up with the other dogs. I think it was because I had lots of ticks on me that were sucking my blood and also I had loads of wriggly worms in my tummy and I believe that this means they take all the goodness from me. Whatever the problem I had been quite ill for some time before I was shot. Then to make matters worse I ran from the gun and I hit something really hard. Maybe it was a car I don't remember but my face hurt a lot afterwards.

I was lying down in the sand at the Akamas. I could hardly stand up. I was so hungry and thirsty I had really given up. I saw these people coming towards me and all I could do was look at them hoping they would see the pleading in my eyes. I saw her kind face and I felt a little hope. Maybe she would help me. She and her friend had two dogs with them and their dogs looked nice. She came to me and stroked me gently. She told me not to be frightened. I lay still and let her stroke me. Well I couldn't do much else I was exhausted. No food, no water, no shelter for as long as I could remember I was truly passed caring.

She asked her friend to get the car and the next thing I knew I was being wrapped in a blanket and placed in a big vehicle. I lay down at my saviours feet. I know she called Ruth and asked for help. Ruth came and said she had managed to find a foster home for me. Sadly, I was so infested with ticks I had to be cleaned up first. While they were doing this I found out it was Vi and Alan that had rescued me. They said they had never seen a dog in such a terrible state before but Ruth said it was nothing unusual. They all worked for ages taking these creapy things off me and then Ruth and Vi took me to Elizabeth who said she would care for me. Even she was appalled by my condition but she was really lovely and I knew I would be safe with her. I heard them saying that I didnt deserve this.

I was taken inside a warm house and given food and water. My mouth hurt but I was so hungry I managed to eat a little and it was so good. It was agreed that I would see the Doctor the next day. Ruth and Elizabeth took me to Dr. Maria and she knew immediately that I had a double fracture of the jaw. Within 24 hours Dr. Maria and Dr. Inna had operated on me. I had my jaw wired, I was neutered and I had my leg stitched. 48 hours on I felt a different dog. I am back in my foster home enjoying good soft food, sleeping in a warm bed and being fussed over. I think they call this place heaven. Ruth said this is what parc is all about. They help sick and injured animals. All I can say is thank you to Vi and Alan for caring enough to do something when they saw me and thank you to all those people who support parc. Without your support parc could not help animals like me.

I need a forever home. I am gently, loving, trustworthy dog. I am good with all animals and people. Ruth says I have suffered terribly and I deserve a good home. Please help me. Thanks you Scotty.

two more baby kittens ready now.

Two of the prettiest kittens you could find. These two were being fed and played with by children on holiday who return to the UK tomorrow. Thankfully one of our supporters saw them and asked parc to help as there was no mother cat around. They are now residing in Parc pens awaiting a forever home. They are very healthy and clean. We have treated them for parasites and they will be vet checked tomorrow. We have called them Whisky and Soda. If you would like these gorgeous, friendly kittens then contact us quickly because they will surely go soon.
GOOD NEWS THESE TWO LOVELY BABIES HAVE GONE TO A FOREVER HOME. THE FAMILY THEY HAVE GONE TO ARE SPLENDID PEOPLE AND THERE IS NO DOUBT THEY WILL HAVE A GREAT LIFE. FANTASTIC THIS MAKES ALL THE HARD WORK WORTH WHILE.

Pure beagle with three legs

I am a sweet natured beagle dog. I have been treated very badly by people they call humans but don't deserve to be addressed as such. They starved and beat me so I was very frightened. To top the lot they shot me in the leg and my leg was very bad. Some kind people took me to Ruth at Parc and thank God she asked Dr. Maria (an animal doctor and very kind person) to help me and she took me into her clinic. Dr. Maria tried all ways to save my leg but in the end she had to take me to Dr. Inna who cut it off (the posh word is amputate but all I know is the pain went away after a while and I learned to walk on my three legs). Dr. Maria has shown me love and kindness and after two months I am just learning that some humans are nice. I am physically fit and well now, in fact I have never felt better despite my missing leg. I get lots of good food and all those things that made me itch and scratch have gone, along with the wriggly things in my tummy. All I need now is someone to take me into their home. I may be a bit frightened when you first see me but I am not aggressive at all and once you stroke me I really do respond well. I am quite happy to share a home with another dog in fact I like dogs and I am good with cats. I probably don't want children as although I am good with them they might be a bit too much for me at first. I am fine with Dr. Maria's children but that is because I have got used to them. I have heard them say I have to go to Paws soon. I know that Ruth said the Paws are very good with dogs and I will probably be ok but it would be nice to have a forever home with someone like Dr. Maria. Please call Ruth if you can help me I promise to be good. Thank you, Oscar 2. (Apparently they called me Oscar 2 because Parc have had a beagle just like me who was homed with Nicky and Phil and is very happy walking on his three legs).
GOOD NEWS MY DEAR DOG HAS GONE TO A FOSTER HOME ON TRIAL. HE HAS SETTLED QUITE WELL WITH THESE EXPERIENCED CARERS. WE WISH HIM WELL.
