Remember Silky!

Silky is the beautiful cat that has a British pet passport and was going to go to UK but then stayed her and was homed with a lovely lady, Leonora, who lives on her own and spoils him rotten.
Well 2 months ago he went missing for a week and his owner was frantic. He eventually found his way back but was covered in engine oil. Despite every effort it was necessary to take off his lovely silky coat and leave him looking like a neglected moggy. His owner has kindly sent us pictures of him before and after. Although he still hasnt got his silky gloss back the pictures show he is well on the way. Here is his story written with a little help from Leonora.

Remember me? The beautiful long haired one who found a new home and changed his name to "Puss-in-Boots"'?Well, here I am again - and what a mess I am!
I had gone "absent without leave" for 7 days and nights causing great grief , worry and sleepless nights , when I decided that ,perhaps, home was best after all. Somehow I had managed to cover all of me in thick black engine oil which made me hardly recognisable, and, as I immediately jumped on to my favourite place on the bed, also made me not too popular! Then found myself picked up and put into a sink full of warm soapy water - not a pleasant experience, immediately followed by finding myself inside the cat transporter box I dislike very much and in the car. Arrived at the "Place of the smells" and don't remember anything until the next morning when, once again at home via nasty cat transporter, I found that all my glorious fur had been shorn off and I had to embark on a series of major cleaning operations on what was left - heard "them" saying that all my nice white and orange bits had turned a fashionable grey - and that I now had the appearance of a mixture of Ocelot and very short haired whet cat which sounded most offensive. Seems that the previous coat had hidden the fact that I was covered in spots! Was rather pleased to be at home and made sure I was looked after by deciding to live ON her rather then just WITH her for a few days just as the weather turned really warm. Took me sometime to regain a reasonable looking fur which is now growing nicely - I can even tolerate having a photograph taken which I am sending you on a separate e mail. Kind regards from a once again happily settled but home punctually at 9.45pm every night Puss-inBoots
so wrote his story which I am pleased to pass on to you.
