Lovely femal adult cat with passport needs a home.

This beautiful long haired tricolour cat needs a home. She has full passport having been vaccinated for Rabies and spayed. She can travel to most European Countries now and can travel to Britain in March. Her owner has left Cyprus and has paid for her care. She has now found out that the apartment she has purchased in the UK does not allow her to have any pets. She is obviously very distressed. Her lovely cat, Brandy, is therefore available for re-homing. If you can offer this dear cat a home please contact us urgently. She is currently being cared for by Dr. Maria at Lemba but she is living in her home. She has a lovely temperament and adores people and children.

WELL DONE EVERYONE

Please help we have five lovely puppies that need a home now. We have found a home for mum and one of her babies but we simply must get homes for these delightful creatures soon. They have been raised by their mother for the first six weeks of their lives and are therefore healthy and happy puppies. They have been fully vaccinated by parc and are living with Elizabeth and her family in their home. One of the puppies was taken by a very nice couple who came all the way from Larnaca to collect him. He has been with them for two weeks now and he is much loved and well settled with them and their two dogs. Please call us. Don't forget parc do not charge for animals (although a donation is appreciated)all that we ask is that you give them love and care.
Another two puppies homed today absolutely fantastic. We now have three puppies left. Parc would like to say a big thank you to their new owners and wish them well. We always offer support when we home animals. All our animals are Vet checked and vaccinated if they are old enough. We give leaflets with information about caring for pets. Come on folks lets home the last three as soon as we can.
AMAZING NEWS. ALL OF THESE SIX PUPPIES AND THEIR MUM HAVE BEEN FOUND GOOD HOMES BY PARC THANKS TO OUR WEBSITE DESIGNER CHRIS, ALSO CYPRUS LIVING WEBSITE AND FREE ADVERT FROM CYPRUS MAIL. THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THIS SITE HAS HELPED US TO HOME MANY ANIMALS. THANKS A MILLION.

Another puppy rescued.

On Tuesday morning a little puppy was found on a building site in Peyia. He is the most beautiful puppy very much like a Golden Retriever puppy all golden and curly haired. A young man had seen the builders throwing stones and then realized they were aiming the stones at the puppy. Thankfully, he rescued the puppy, had strong words with the builders and then called us. By some miracle I was able to come up with a temporary foster home and went to collect him. Surprise surprise, second miracle of the day a neighbour of the referrer was offering to look after him. Parc treated him for fleas (millions of them), wormed him and then arranged for him to be vaccinated by the Veterinary. He has now got his paws firmly under the table and we are hoping he will stick like glue to the kind family who gave him shelter.
Today we were called to a sick dog who had been found in Peyia. She was clearly very old and probably blind although very fat. She had a collar mark on her neck so she had been tied up for a very long time and it looked as though she had been untied and dumped as she had very bad mobility. We do have a problem with very sick dogs as we have no authority to euthanase. If we did this and then the original owner turns up we could be in big trouble. It is therefore necessary to refer stray dogs to the Municipality. The Municipality have the responsibility to provide shelter for stray dogs for up to two weeks after which time if unclaimed they can humanely euthanase. Unfortunately, Peyia, like many Municipalities have no shelters now but after much discussion they seemed to accept that this was not a dog I could place anywhere due to her condition and they agreed to take the dog from me. The Government Veterinary has also got a responsibility to help with these cases but they did not answer their phone (perhaps I should try that!!) The Government Veterinary can be contacted on 26306269. It is necessary for me to say that we cannot respond to calls asking for help with stray dogs. There are simply too many and we do not have the rescources to cope. We try and help with small puppies but healthy strays must be dealt with by the Municipalities.

PAWS DOGGY SHELTER (capca)

Parc are thrilled that Paws have now moved into their new home. The premises are second to none in the Middle East. This has been achieved by lots of hard work by volunteers who have given their time to help either in the shop or at the shelter and also raised funds. Parc are pleased to support Paws as we know that all the dogs in their care have good food, veterinary care and shelter. We at parc try very hard to find foster homes for dogs referred to us and we will always pay for necessary treatment. However, if we have no space available we ask Paws to help and it is great to know that they will help us if they can. Annie and Christine (kennell managers) have very kindly agreed to take our little hound puppy tomorrow as we have been unable to find her a permanent home. Thank you very much to everyone involved at Paws. Very well done. Your hard work has paid off. You have incredibly good facilities. We at parc will be everything we can to support you. It is fantastic to know that we are working together to help the dear animals of Paphos.
